A strong showing in New Orleans has earned Stanford commit Jack West a ticket to a state he’ll be very familiar with in college.
West, a quarterback for Class 6A Saraland, was awarded a spot in the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles.

Joining West will be another four-star from Parkway High School in Bossier City, FL in Justin Rogers. West is the #6 pro quarterback according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He committed to Stanford in July before his junior season. The Spartans failed to reach the second round for the second consecutive year as Saraland posted a 6-5 record with a 45-7 loss to Park Crossing. West was a backup to Chris Weaver as a freshman when Saraland made their way to the 6A state title game in 2014.
The Elite 11 Finals will consist of 24 quarterbacks chosen from 13 regional competitions. Four quarterbacks were chosen before the New Orleans regional. The current Finals roster includes Dorian Thompson-Robinson of Bishop Gorman in Nevada, Jack Tuttle of Mission Hills in California, Justin Field of Harrison in Georgia, and Tanner McKee of Corona Centennial in California. The next regional will be held Saturday at Buford High School just northeast of Atlanta.
