Not two months after taking the head job at Sidney Lanier, former Alabama State head coach Reggie Barlow is going back to college, this time up at Virginia State according to the Montgomery Advertiser.
Barlow was fired at Alabama State after a 7-5 season last year and actually accepted the head coaching job at GW Carver in Columbus, GA before eventually heading to his alma mater, Sidney Lanier.
Now he will accept his third head coaching job in 4 months. Barlow said he was in talks with Virginia State before accepting the job at Lanier, but didn’t hear back for sure from them before taking the job.
Barlow went 49-42 at Alabama State and had just signed a three year contract when the school let him go.
