Pools announced for USA Football 7-on-7 ALFCA championships

The USA Football 7-on-7 national championships will take place at Hoover High School again this year in July, but before we get there, in-state teams need to be crowned to move on to the big stage against teams from across the nation.

The yearly 7-on-7 event, formerly known as the National Select 7-on-7, takes place throughout the summer with the finals are on July 14-16 at Hoover. In addition to Alabama, the qualifying locations include Louisiana, Missouri, Georgia, Illinois, Delaware, Washington D.C., California, and South Carolina.

The winner of the ALFCA (Alabama Football Coaches Association) championships will automatically qualify, along with certain invited teams from the state, including host Hoover.

The ALFCA state championships will take place on June 30 across 12 fields at Hoover High School, the Hoover Met soccer fields, and Trace Crossings Elementary.
