After a long three days of football between 48 teams, McGill-Toolen has emerged as the best 7-on-7 team, winning both the ALFCA championship and the national championship.

The Yellow Jackets beat Park Crossing twice in a row in the championship after losing a close game to the Thunderbirds in the winner’s bracket final. Hoover also finished in the top four, with Warren Central of Indiana the lone non-Alabama team in the final four teams.

McGill-Toolen quarterback Bubba Thompson, an Auburn baseball commit, played well in the final two games, as the Yellow Jackets won 19-9 in the first game, and then 19-10 in the final game. Thompson and his top receiver, USC commit Marlon Williams, scored early in the final game and McGill-Toolen never trailed after that. QB Malik Cunningham led Park Crossing to the championship game without a single loss before losing twice to McGill-Toolen, however, they did tie with Slidell, LA on Thursday.

It was a great day for the state of Alabama which made up roughly half the field. Bob Jones finished in the top 8, with Hewitt-Trussville, Spanish Fort, Enterprise, and Thompson finishing in the top 16.
