USA Today has named Mae Jemison’s Jack Doss as the ALL-USA Boys Basketball Coach of the Year.

Doss led the Jaguars to the school’s first official state title after Mae Jemison defeated Sylacauga and Faith Academy in the Final Four to win Doss’ third straight state championship.

The former J.O. Johnson won the 5A title in 2015 and ’16. Before that, Doss won four state titles at Butler. He also won back-to-back state titles at Hayes in the early ’80s. Doss has an all-time record of 812-329.

Mae Jemison guard John Petty was named to the ALL-USA Third Team while future Alabama teammate Collin Sexton of Mableton, GA was named to the Second Team.
