One Class of 2018 and three Class of 2019 Alabama high school recruits were recognized as standouts of the Under Armour All-America Regional Camp in Atlanta, GA.
Sidney Lanier offensive lineman Alfred Thomas was named the Big Man Challenge Champion for the camp. The senior for the 2017 season is ranked the #9 player in the state according to 247Sports Composite rankings. Thomas stated that Georgia is his early favorite.
Pinson Valley quarterback Bo Nix, Oxford offensive lineman Clay Webb, and Hewitt-Trussville offensive lineman Pierce Quick were invited to the Under Armour Future 50 camp.
Nix is coming off a top showing at The Opening Atlanta Regional and continues to impress over senior counterparts. Nix is the son of Pinson Valley head coach and former Auburn quarterback Patrick Nix. His offer list includes Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, and Tennessee among others.
Webb is a five-star lineman who has stood out throughout the summer since helping the Yellow Jackets to an undefeated regular season in 2016. He has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Jacksonville State, and Mississippi State according to 247Sports.
Quick is an important cog in the Hewitt offensive scheme at 6’5″ and 275 lbs. and whose stock continues to improve. Quick has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Oregon, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt among others.
Other in-state recruits at the camp included Jackson-Olin’s Coynis Miller, Lanier linebacker La’Dedric Jackson, Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa LB Jacquez Jones, and Pleasant Grove defensive back Myles Mason.
