Hoover set to face Grayson, IMG Academy in 2017

The Hoover Bucs have finalized their 2017 schedule and outside of their region games, the schedule features a list of huge out-of-state games.

Starting things off, Hoover will travel to Loganville, GA in a return trip to Grayson High School. Grayson defeated Hoover last year 36-14 at the Hoover Met, and went on to finish as one of the top 10 teams in the country and win the 7A championship over Roswell at the Georgia Dome last December.

Week two sees the Bucs hosting Meridian out of Mississippi as their first home game of the 2017 season.

Arguably the biggest game of the year comes at the end of the season as Hoover hosts IMG Academy out of Bradenton, FL. While there has been plenty of controversy surrounding IMG Academy, they are year-in and year-out considered one of the best football teams each year. The Ascenders went 11-0 last year, including a win over Grayson, and has only suffered one loss the last three seasons. The team also had 20 Under Armour All-Americans in the past four seasons.
