Hoover Class of 2018 kicker Barret Pickering has made his decision Tuesday night when he declared through Twitter that he would be heading to Lincoln, Nebraska.

Pickering is ranked the No. 2 kicker in the country by Kohl’s Kicking behind Fort Payne’s Evan McPherson, who is committed to Mississippi State. The Hoover prospect connected on 19 of 27 field goals, hit his 49 extra point attempts, and knocked 66 of 79 kickoffs into the end zone last year while helping Hoover win their 12th state championship. Hoover will take on Park Crossing for their spring game at Jacksonville State on May 13 at 11 AM.
