USA Football has announced the dates and some of the participants for two 7-on-7 tournaments in Alabama during the summer.

Hoover will once again host a national championship tournament July 13-15 but will also be joined in the “National Championship Series” by Sacramento, Dallas, and Canton, OH as hosts. Each national championship tournament will be invitation only.

Already, 15 teams have been announced for the Hoover national championship tournament with eight of them from Alabama. Those include Class 7A’s Central-Phenix City and Hewitt-Trussville, Class 6A’s Austin, Daphne, Gardendale, state title runner-up Opelika, Park Crossing, and Spanish Fort.

There will also be an ALFCA regional tournament in Montgomery to be hosted on June 29. All teams listed as of now are from Alabama. So far in the Class 6A/7A Division are Jeff Davis, Lee-Montgomery, Spanish Fort, Thompson, and Wetumpka. In the Class 1A/5A Division are Andalusia, Childersburg, Cottage Hill Christian, Deshler, Greenville, Hillcrest-Evergreen, Isabella, Class 4A state runner-up Madison Academy, Montgomery Catholic, Priceville, Russellville, and St. James. There will also be a 9th Grade/JV Division, but no teams are listed yet.

As previously, Hoover will host their tournament around the Hoover Met with half of the early tournament games taking place at the Met’s soccer fields. The other half of early tournament games as well as much of bracket play are listed to be played at the new complex next to the Met named the Alabama Sports and Event Center, nicknamed “The Bam.” The Montgomery regional tournament will be played at the Emory Folmar Soccer Complex near Auburn University-Montgomery.
